02/15/22 Dowsing Practice

Today I used a pendulum on a map. I told myself "where are there interdimentional beings on the map" and then held the pendulum over the map. I had more than one place where I got a "hit" which was the pendulum going in a circular motion. The map I used was the Bombay Hook NWR map. I remembered the places and drove to them. The first was the Bear Swamp trail. When I arrived there is used my dowsing rods and told myself "find interdiemntional beings." At first the rods where very erratic. I remembered that I could hold the rods with my thumbs on top rather than on the sides like if I was making a fist. With the thumbs on top where the 90 degree bend is, it seemed to steady the rods in a way that did not hinder the positive response movements as I walked the trail. The rods kept pointing to the left. With me a positive response is usually when the rods cross and come back toward my body. The rods pointed left a few times. When I got to the end of this short circular trail where the tower is, I returned on the other side of the trail which was originally to my left where the rods were pointing. While walking this part of the trail I had a sudden positive response to my right. I looked around and noticed that I was standing next to a patch of crow's feet which is an evergreen type of ground cover plant. That was interesting because it was the only patch of crow's feet I saw on this trail today. I couldn't think of a way to try to prove the presence of any interdiemtional beings but at least I found one of my favorite winter time plants. When I was done walking I went back to the truck and set off to the other spot I found on the map.

The next spot was at the very end of the road by Finnis Pool. I got out and started walking and observing. While I was standing quietly by a little bridge I saw very large tadpoles swimming in the shallow frozen water below me. There was a small spot in the water that did not have a layer of ice on it. When the tadpoles swam there I could easily see that they were definitely tadpoles and not small fish. I thought that this was very interesting because I thought tadpoles where a spring time thing. As I was watching them I heard the familiar chirp of cardinals. There where four very bright red cardinals behind me to my left and they were not afraid of me. Usually cardinals seem to keep their distance. I also thought it was unusual that there were four male cardinals. Usually there are an even number of male and female cardinals unless there are more male young ones but there were all males this time.

After watching the birds and tadpoles I took out my dowsing rods and walked around the turn around area at the end of the road. When I came to an area right next to the water's edge and next to a tree by the water I got a hit with my rods. It seemed like the hit was right where the land ended and the ice on top of the water came together. There were little dusty foot prints on the ice form what looked like a raccoon. The prints went over the deepest part of the water which was only two to three feet deep. The rest of the water that I could see into was only about a foot deep. Again I don't know about interdimentional beings but I found the prints on the ice to be very interesting.

When I was done looking at the tracks on the ice I took my Tarot deck out of my bag. I was thinking that I would shuffle the deck until I drew a card to give me and idea of what the positive hit was about. Shuffling a deck with frozen hands while standing made shuffling a bit difficult. Luckily the deck was thoroughly shuffled from using it a few days earlier. So I ran my fingers through the cards until I “felt” the right one. I drew that card and looked at it. It was card number one, the Magician. Some of the attributes of that card are manifestation and intellect. I was content with my practice today and went home.
