The House Where it All Took Off - The Blue House
This is the house that my mom lived in when I went to live with her. It was an old house from the 1800's that had been divided into apartments. This house is still to this day the most haunted house I have ever lived in. It even has that spooky looking vibe to it that makes it that much more interesting. It used to be blue so my sister and I still call it "the blue house."
When I was around ten or eleven years old my mom lived in one of the second floor apartments. I lived with my maternal grandmother at the time but went to stay the night with my mom one night. As soon as I walked into the apartment I could feel a ghost at the door to the apartment. I sensed ghosts before but this was more intense. I have always been interested in ghosts even as a little guy. I set up my bed on the floor by the door that night in anticipation of who knows what but I was eager to experience ghosts. I remember hearing my mom tell my aunt in the kitchen "he feels it too." The next day I asked to move back in with my mom. I knew that I had to explore this place and moving in with her was how I was going to do it.
When I mention the blue house in future posts, this is the house I'm referring to. I have many ghost stories from this house. The door to the apartment my mom lived in always had a knocking sound just like someone was knocking on the door to come in. We would open the door and there would be no one there. The door knobs would turn and shake also with no one there. My mom had a boyfriend that I think the ghost did not like because every time we would come home all of his pictures would be face down on the table. In the first floor apartment my aunt used to live in you could see what looked like smoke near the kitchen even when nobody was cooking. You could smell perfume and hear the dishes shaking. The list goes on but I'll save some stories for latter.
